NTI continues to grow ecosystem of partners to better serve NonStop community

It would be hard to miss the growth in the ecosystem of partners NTI has attracted. The NonStop community is familiar with the DR Net ® product suite but this hasn’t stopped NTI reaching out to product, service and consulting companies to ensure NTI’s coverage worldwide. The presence of these partners in an ecosystem does two things for the company; it reassures prospects that there have been others before them, so risks are greatly reduced and it reinforces the NonStop community at large that the company and its products provide a compelling reason for others to consider DR Net ® in the future.   A lot has changed within the NonStop community. HPE has invested in the NonStop product line and there are numerous options available to the community. NonStop continues to be sold along traditional lines as a converged system but it is also available as a virtual system on customer-supplied x86 servers. These options have become well known, but perhaps even more interesting is...

NTI sees marketing and sales plans evolve; business community continues to invest in NonStop.

News continues to be bleak when it comes to events. For the NonStop community it’s more a case of there being plenty of support for events even when they cannot take place along traditional lines. The NonStop community has always been a community that enjoys opportunities to network but 2020 is a year in transition. For the foreseeable future it looks as though all events will be virtual! Questions are now being asked as to whether this is the new reality. The new normal, if you like. However, history shows that communities adapt rapidly to changing conditions and as much as we like to network, it seems more than likely that virtual events will become increasingly fashionable. It’s hardly likely following investments in support of virtual events to see them fade away. News out of Europe has just been received informing us all that the pan-European event hosted by GTUG will not go ahead as planned. Already postponed once, moving back from May to be rescheduled for September...

A central cooling plant in Google's data center in Douglas County, Georgia Data centers today are a far cry from what we have been used to seeing in the past. Less a case of raised flooring and I/O devices liberally scattered around with interfaces to channel processors almost as big as the central processing unit. One data center manager even went so far as to have a plaque in his office that read, “It’s not a computer unless I can walk through its channels!” However, despite this, the traditional data center still holds sway for most enterprises as there remains enterprise solutions that can be best served from systems buried in basements or even in old repurposed warehouses. The photo above doesn’t look like a data center. But upon further inspection it is the needed infrastructure to support a modern data center. Long gone are the deep false floors of the past, but still, the relative compactness and integration requires energy and cooling. At installations such as th...
